Government allocates 50 billion SYP for developmental projects

Damascus, SANA – People’s Assembly discussed on Thursday the performance of Local Administration and Environment Ministry and issues related to its work.

Minister of the Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, during a session chaired by Speaker, Hammouda Sabbagh, said that the ministry has implemented several service and development projects last year and until today in cooperation with international organizations through the High Relief Committee, adding that 27 shelter centers and 6,443 damaged homes have been rehabilitated.

He affirmed that 50 billion SYP will be allocated this year for development and service projects to be later distributed to the competent authorities, adding that more than 17 new profession areas have been established .
