Syrian-Iranian Economic Forum discusses mechanisms of enhancing bilateral cooperation

Damascus, SANA-Syrian-Iranian economic forum which was held on Wednesday at “Iran Trade Center” in Damascus Free Zone, discussed means of developing trade, economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Iran as well as activating the role of the private sector to establish joint commercial and industrial investment projects.

Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Muhammad Abu Al-Huda al-Lahham, said that the opportunities for future economic and trade cooperation between both countries require more work and mutual visits.

He pointed out to many procedures taken by the two sides to pave the way for the development of economic bilateral relations and promoting them to the level of the standing political relations.

For his part, President of the Joint Syrian-Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Kiwan Kashefiy, called for activating the role of the commercial and productive private sector in the two countries to boost  joint Syrian-Iranian economic cooperation.
