Israeli occupation carries out arbitrary arrests campaign against Golan people

Occupied Golan, SANA – The Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arbitrary arrests against eight civilians in the villages of Baq’atha, Majdal Shams, and Ein Qenieh in the occupied Golan on charges of resisting the occupation, raising the Syrian and resistance flags, and condemning the Israeli aggression on Syria.

Local sources in the occupied Golan said that Salwa Mahmoud al-Sha’er from Majdal Shams, Sheikh Atef Darwish, Saleh Najeeb Farhat, Odai Morsel Awwad from Baq’atha, and three others whose names are still unknown from Ein Qenieh were among the detainees.

The families of the detainees stressed that the policies of bullying carried out by the Israeli occupation will not deter Golan people from supporting their homeland and the Syrian Arab Army, nor will they affect their adherence to their Syrian identity.
