Primer Khamis starts official visit to Iran to attend swearing-in ceremony of President Rouhani

Tehran, SANA- Prime Minister Imad Khamis started on Friday an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate on behalf of the Syrian Arab Republic and represent President Bashar al-Assad at the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

During the visit, Primer Khamis will meet a number of senior Iranian officials to discuss the development of strategic relations between the two countries on various levels for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.

Khamis arrived at Mehrabad Airport on Friday afternoon where he was received by Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi, Syrian Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud, the staff of the Embassy, Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Javad Turk-Abadi, and a number of Iranian officials.
