Around 2000 displaced families start to return to al-Ziabiyeh town in Damascus Countryside

Damascus Countryside, SANA – About 2000 families started to return to their homes in al-Ziabiyeh town in Damascus Countryside within the framework of the third stage of the project launched by the State Ministry for National Reconciliation Affairs, after the completion of necessary rehabilitation works to repair what has been destroyed due to terrorism and secure the citizens’ basic living requirements.

A source at the Ministry told SANA that 2890 families (around 15 thousand people) have returned in the first and second stages, pointing out that 70% of electricity network has been repaired, 4 schools have been rehabilitated and 9 water wells have been put into service in addition to opening a health center which provides free treatment to patients in the town.

The source added that the Ministry is putting the final touches to similar project with the aim of helping residents of al-Sbineh town in the southern countryside of Damascus return to their homes.
