Thursday weather forecast: Temperatures above average, skies clear

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will rise to become from 3 to 5 degrees above average in most areas as the country is affected by a high air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be clear in general with some scattered clouds while the weather will be misty in the eastern and al-Badiya “desert” areas.

The wind will be changeable to southeasterly with a light to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.

Tomorrow, the skies will be partly cloudy to become cloudy in the afternoon over the coastal and the northwestern areas and rain showers are expected to fall over these areas and later they will fall over the inland areas in the evening and at night.

The weather will be misty in the eastern and al-Badiya areas and the temperatures will become from 2 to 4 degrees above average while a a southwestern wind will become active at night.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 23/8, Daraa 23/10, Homs 22/10, Lattakia 24/11, Aleppo 22/7 and Deir Ezzor 26/10.
