Bolivia reiterates support to Syria in its war against terrorism

Santa Cruz de la Sierra, (SANA) Bolivian President Evo Morales reiterated his

country’s support to Syria under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad in
its war against terrorism and the imperialistic hegemony.

The remark came during a meeting with Syrian ambassador to Venezuela Ghassan
Abbas on the sidelines of the activities of the G77+China summit held
recently in Bolivia with the participation of Syria.

Ambassador Abbas stressed the importance of the relations between Syria and Bolivia.

In a relevant context, Bolivian Defense Minister congratulated Syria on President al-Assad’s winning of the elections.

He expressed Bolivia’s condemnation of all foreign attempts to interfere in
Syria’s internal affairs and sending the foreign terrorist mercenaries to
destabilize the situation in Syria.

President of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcelo Elio Chavez, who visited Syria
within the parliamentarian delegations to observe the presidential elections in
it, said that the elections were “transparent and coped with the international
criteria.”

During his meetings with other Bolivian officials, Abbas stressed the importance
of the summit to clearly condemn the unfair measures and the unilateral economic sanctions imposed on Syria.

Earlier, Venezuelan President Nicolas Madoro touched upon Syria’s suffering due to the terrorist acts committed by the terrorist groups and the risks of the spreading of terrorism in the region.
