Kuwait, SANA – Syria’s national under-16 football team beat Kuwaiti al- Salmiya team 4-1 in a friendly match that took place at al-Salmiya Stadium in Kuwait on Monday.
The match came in the framework of a training camp held by the Syrian national team in Kuwait in preparation for the finals of the AFC Asian Cup scheduled for September 6-20 in Thailand.
This win is the Syrian national team’s second as it also beat Kuwaiti al-Yarmouk team 6-0 last Saturday when the camp kicked off.
The Syrian team was drawn in Group 4 for the finals of Asia Cup. It will first play the Saudi team on Sept. 7th, and will meet the Qatari team on Sept. 9th. It will conclude its matches by playing the Iranian team on Sept 11th.
