Damascus, Feb. 25 (SANA)The Ministry of Tourism has announced the inaugural edition of the “Syria Travel Show 2026,” a specialized exhibition dedicated to travel, tourism, and hotel investment. Organized in cooperation with Mangusteen for Exhibitions and Conferences and SO Media, the event is scheduled to take place in Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus from April 14 to 16.
The show serves as a strategic platform bringing together government entities, investors, hospitality operators, tour organizers, and hotel management firms. Its primary objectives include solidifying Syria’s position within the regional tourism landscape, fostering international partnerships, and expanding the investment base across all provinces. The exhibition will highlight diverse development opportunities, ranging from urban hotel projects and the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings to the expansion of coastal resorts and the promotion of rural and community-based tourism.
Minister of Tourism Mazen al-Salhani stated to SANA on Wednesday that the launch of this exhibition is a key component of the Ministry’s broader strategy to reform and modernize the sector. He emphasized that Syrian tourism is reclaiming its status as a core productive sector that stimulates economic value chains, generates employment, and ensures the sustainable participation of local communities in the development process; by updating operational standards and service quality, the Ministry aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Syrian market and attract long-term foreign and domestic investments.
The “Syria Travel Show 2026” is designed to be a comprehensive hub for actors in the hospitality industry, focusing on cultural tourism, heritage preservation, and the expansion of international partnerships in the travel sector.
