Doha, SANA – The Regional Ministerial Meeting for Education “on the return of Syrian refugees” began Sunday in the Qatari capital, Doha, with the participation of Syria, represented by the Assistant Minister of Education for Pedagogical Issues, Mr. Youssef Anan.
The meeting aims to coordinate efforts to ensure education for returning Syrian children, as well as support national education systems to meet the challenges of return, and enhance cooperation to return Syrian students to their schools in Syria in a sustainable manner.
Delegations from Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, and Iraq are participating in the meeting, which is being sponsored by the regional office of the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” in the Middle East and North Africa.
