Ankara, SANA-President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, reiterated his full support for Syria, noting President Ahmed al-Sharaa’s comprehensive vision for the country’s future.
Following a meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum 2025 in Turkey, Barzani tweeted: “I was pleased to meet President al-Sharaa in Antalya, where we discussed the situation in Syria, he outlined his vision of Syria’s future that embraces all Syrians, and I was delighted by his sincere commitment to regional peace and security.”
Barrazani also pointed out that during the meeting he addressed efforts to combat the terrorist organization “ISIS” and the joint commitment of the two parties to continue the war against it.
