Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes stances condemning attacks on Southern Syria

Damascus, SANA- Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its appreciation for the statements issued by members of the international community in the United Nations Security Council condemning the repeated attacks by the Israeli forces on southern Syria, as these violations represent a flagrant breach of international law and a blatant aggression on Syria’s sovereignty.

In a statement published on its Telegram channel Tuesday evening, the Ministry stated: “Today, we witnessed a significant escalation in the attacks launched by Israeli forces, which claimed the lives of six innocent civilians. In this context, we reaffirm that the pretexts previously used by Israel to justify its recurrent assaults on Syrian territory have been completely refuted. Nevertheless, Israel continues its violations without any deterrence.”

The Ministry added: “Syria reiterates its commitment to defending its sovereignty and calls upon the international community to continue exerting pressure on Israel to adhere to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and to halt its unlawful aggressions against our people and land.”
