Salalah, Aug. 13 (SANA) Minister of Administrative Development Mohammad Hassan al-Sakkaf presented Syria’s experience in institutional transformation during a keynote session at the 25th Annual Conference on “Government Readiness for a Sustainable Future” in Oman.
In a presentation titled “From Building Institutions to Building the Future: The Institutional Transformation Roadmap in the Syrian Arab Republic,” al-Sakkaf outlined the ministry’s approach to moving beyond addressing administrative shortcomings individually toward building an integrated institutional system.
The Ministry of Administrative Development said on Telegram Wednesday that the roadmap focuses on modernizing legislative and regulatory frameworks, developing human resources management, improving institutional efficiency, strengthening leadership capabilities and fostering a culture focused on performance and results.
Responding to Change, Making Efficient Use of Resources
Al-Sakkaf said institutions’ readiness for the future depends on their ability to respond to change, make efficient use of resources and expertise, adopt data-driven decision-making, and build a more flexible institutional environment capable of continuous development.
He also outlined the ministry’s main areas of work under the institutional transformation roadmap, stressing the importance of integrating legislation, organizational structures, human resources, performance and institutional culture.
Such integration, he said, is essential to ensuring the sustainability of reform and turning it into a measurable and adaptable implementation process.
Boosting Experiences on Future of Public Administration
Al-Sakkaf participated alongside Arab ministers, senior officials and experts in a session titled “Government Readiness to Achieve Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities,” aimed at exchanging experiences and perspectives on the future of public administration in the region.
The 25th Annual General Conference on “Government Readiness for a Sustainable Future” opened Tuesday in Salalah, jointly organized by Oman’s Ministry of Labour and the Arab Administrative Development Organization, affiliated with the Arab League.
