Quneitra governor reviews development projects with Dutch ZOA delegation
Quneitra Governor Ghassan al-Sayyed Ahmad meets with a delegation from the Dutch NGO ZOA.

Quneitra, Aug. 5 (SANA) Quneitra Governor Ghassan al-Sayyed Ahmad discussed with a delegation from the Dutch ZOA organization, headed by ZOA Director in Syria Dawn Hoyle, cooperation and follow-up on the implementation of development and service projects in the governorate.

The Quneitra Governorate said on Wednesday via its Telegram channel that the meeting addressed the service and development situation in the governorate and the repercussions of repeated Israeli violations on various vital sectors.

Al-Sayyed Ahmad stressed the importance of implementing priority projects in Quneitra and Golan communities located in Daraa and Damascus Countryside governorates, particularly projects aimed at supporting livelihoods for affected families, rehabilitating wells and water stations, and equipping them with solar energy systems to ensure sustainable basic services and improve citizens’ living conditions.

The governor praised ZOA’s role in supporting communities through key projects, including water station rehabilitation, agricultural input distribution, water network implementation, and irrigation system restoration.

ZOA’s administration affirmed its continued cooperation and coordination with Quneitra Governorate and its work to study priority needs in order to implement sustainable development projects that meet citizens’ needs and enhance stability in the area.

ZOA is an international non-governmental organization headquartered in the Netherlands that provides humanitarian assistance to communities affected by conflicts and natural disasters and supports agricultural development projects in several governorates, with the aim of empowering farmers and improving agricultural production.
