Damascus, July 10 (SANA) Three people were killed and 26 others injured in fires and road accidents across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said on Friday.
The Civil Defense, part of the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, said on its Telegram channel that its teams responded to 128 fires involving agricultural fields and crops, homes, shops, grass, trees, waste and electrical cables.
The fires killed two people and injured six others, including one civilian and five firefighters who sustained minor burns. They also caused property damage.
Teams also responded to 19 road accidents that killed one person and injured 20 others. First aid was provided before the injured were taken to hospitals, while crews cleared and secured the accident sites.
On Wednesday, five people were killed and 50 others injured in fires and road accidents across several Syrian provinces.
