Sweida, June 25 (SANA) Information Minister, Khaled Zaarour, and Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakour discussed on Thursday ways to strengthen media performance in the southern province, with a focus on supporting local development issues and improving the role of community media.
According to SANA, the meeting focused on enhancing media coverage of public services and development projects while taking into account Sweida’s local circumstances and priorities.
The two officials also stressed the importance of promoting inclusive media messaging that supports stability and social cohesion and reflects the aspirations of the province’s residents.
They discussed the need to expand training opportunities for local journalists to improve professional standards and strengthen the effectiveness of media communication.
The meeting was part of the Information Ministry‘s field visits to assess media operations across Syria. Zaarour visited Daraa on Wednesday, where he reviewed the media sector’s needs and discussed challenges with local officials.
