Sweida, May 18 (SANA) Rehabilitation and reconstruction works continue across villages in Sweida province affected by last July’s unfortunate events, as part of efforts to restore services and facilitate the return of residents.
Director of Public Relations in the province, Abbas Suleiman, stressed during a field tour on Monday the need to overcome obstacles hindering progress and accelerate restoration efforts to ensure residents can return to their homes as soon as possible.
Suleiman explained that the works include rehabilitating housing infrastructure in more than 26 villages that have been received, covering nearly 400 homes, with the aim of ensuring safe return and improving living and service conditions in the affected areas.
Governor of Sweida, Mustafa al-Bakour, has conducted several recent field visits to monitor progress in rehabilitation works, infrastructure restoration, and housing projects aimed at restoring essential services and enabling the return of citizens.
