Quneitra, May 14 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces advanced Wednesday into the village of Saida al-Golan in the southern countryside of Quneitra, searched several homes and deployed troops between civilian residences before withdrawing from the area.
SANA’s reporter said the forces entered the village backed by several military vehicles and carried out searches of a number of homes belonging to residents.
The incursion came one day after another Israeli force established a temporary checkpoint near Umm al-Izam village in the northern countryside of Quneitra, where passers-by were searched before the force later withdrew.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syrian territory, as well as raids, arrests and land-clearing operations targeting civilians.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory, stressing that all measures carried out in southern Syria are null and void under international law, and urging the international community to take action.
