Damascus, May 11 (SANA) A delegation from 23 major donor countries linked to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) arrived in Syria on Monday via the Nasib border crossing.
The visit aims to assess the humanitarian situation on the ground and evaluate existing response frameworks.
It also seeks to restructure humanitarian operations and move toward a unified and integrated coordination mechanism related to early recovery and development efforts in order to improve efficiency and coherence in aid delivery.
The delegation’s visit is part of broader efforts to enhance coordination of humanitarian work and strengthen the connection between relief operations and development-oriented recovery programs.
