Quneitra, April 24 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces on Friday entered the villages of al-Muallaqa and al-Hiran in the southern countryside of Quneitra, according to SANA’s reporter in the province.
The reporter said that a force consisting of two military vehicles advanced along the road connecting the two villages before later withdrawing from the area.
In a related development, Israeli forces detonated several buildings in the destroyed city of Quneitra on Thursday, including the al-Daghestani Mosque, the courthouse, the museum, and surrounding structures, after reportedly rigging them with explosives.
Earlier this year, Israeli forces also demolished the old Golan Hospital in the same area, along with remaining residential structures and damaged buildings near the al-Arab Mosque.
Israel continues to carry out repeated violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria, alongside actions affecting civilians, including raids, arbitrary detentions, forced displacement, destruction of property, and bulldozing of agricultural land.
Damascus has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are “null and void” under international law. It has also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter such practices, and ensure full Israeli withdrawal in line with the 1974 agreement.
