Quneitra, April 19 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces entered the northern countryside of Quneitra on Sunday and established temporary checkpoints in the area.
According to the report of SANA’s correspondent, an Israeli force comprising three military vehicles advanced toward Al-Ejref village and set up a temporary checkpoint at the village junction. At the same time, another Israeli force established a temporary checkpoint in al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah using several military vehicles. No arrests were reported.
The development came a day after another Israeli force entered the northern countryside of the province, set up a temporary checkpoint on the Trinjeh–Mazare’ al-Amal road, searched passersby and later withdrew.
Israel continues repeated violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law.
