Antalya, April 17 (SANA) – Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat said Friday that Syria has begun rebuilding state institutions from the ground up after liberation, stressing that the government is working to lay new foundations for stability, social cohesion and sustainable development.
Speaking during a panel discussion titled “Syria’s Path Toward Stability” at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026, Kabawat said Syria is adopting strategic thinking aimed at securing a better future and achieving real, lasting change.
She noted that the government’s priorities are primarily social, emphasizing efforts to strengthen unity and harmony through dialogue among the various components of Syrian society.
Kabawat said authorities are also working to combat poverty and hunger, while creating employment opportunities for Syrians inside the country.
She added that providing a suitable environment for the return of refugees and ensuring a dignified life for them inside Syria remain among the government’s central objectives.
The minister acknowledged that Syria continues to face many challenges, but said work is underway to overcome difficulties and improve economic conditions.
Kabawat stressed that securing funding is essential to support the local economy, expressing confidence that Syrians are capable of building a better future despite current hardships.
She also praised the resilience of the Syrian people, saying they continue to struggle daily despite destruction and possess a strong will to endure and rebuild.
