Hasakah, April 5 (SANA) Hasakah Governor Nour al-Din Ahmad met Sunday with Civil Affairs Director-General Abdullah Abdullah to discuss procedures for granting Syrian citizenship to Kurdish residents under presidential decree No. 13.

The meeting focused on mechanisms for submitting applications under the decree, as well as administrative arrangements and the role of the committee responsible for the process.

The decree, issued on January 18 by President Ahmad al-Sharaa, provides for granting Syrian citizenship to residents of Kurdish origin in Syria, including those previously unregistered, with full equality in rights and duties.
