Damascus, March 29 (SANA) Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani participated on Sunday in the 165th regular session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, which was held via video conference.
The Arab League announced on Saturday that Arab foreign ministers would convene virtually to discuss Iran’s repeated attacks on Arab nations and to consider Egypt’s proposal to nominate a new Secretary-General for the League.
In a press release, the League stated that the ministerial meeting would be preceded by an in-person session of permanent representatives, during which Bahrain will assume the presidency of the 165th ministerial session, taking over from the United Arab Emirates.
