Hasakah, March 29 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) on Sunday dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to Hasakah province in northeast Syria to support families affected by recent flooding.
The convoy, consisting of 11 trucks, is part of an emergency response launched on March 17 in coordination with local authorities.
According to SARC, the shipment includes 752 food baskets, 6,000 blankets, 3,000 mattresses, winter clothing and medical supplies.
Omar Maleki, head of SARC’s communication and media unit, said the aid was provided with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as well as the Danish and German Red Cross.
The province has seen rising water levels in recent days following heavy rainfall, prompting emergency measures to assist affected residents and limit damage.
