Aleppo, March 21 (SANA) The number of martyrs from last week’s ISIS attack on a customs patrol in the al-Safira area of eastern Aleppo countryside has risen to three, customs officials said on Saturday.
“Following the treacherous terrorist attack targeting a customs patrol in al-Safira, we mourn the martyrdom of one of our officers who succumbed to his wounds in the hospital, bringing the total number of martyrs to three,” Mazen Alloush, Director of Public Relations at the General Authority for Ports and Customs, wrote on platform X.
The initial attack occurred on Tuesday, March 17, when two customs officers were martyred by ISIS militants while on patrol in the area.
