Hasakah, March 8 (SANA) A Syrian presidential delegation assigned to follow up on the implementation of the Jan. 29 agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) met Hasakah Governor Nour al-Din Ahmad to discuss the return of residents of Afrin to their towns and homes.
According to a statement from Hasakah’s media directorate on Sunday, the delegation included Abbas Hussein, director of the Political Affairs Administration, as well as officials from Aleppo province and the director of the Afrin district.
During the meeting, participants discussed mechanisms to facilitate the return of Afrin residents to their towns and homes.
The return plan is part of an organized framework supervised by the Syrian state to implement provisions of the agreement reached with the SDF, aiming to ensure a safe and orderly return of residents to their areas.
The Syrian government announced on Jan. 29 that it had reached a comprehensive agreement with the SDF includes a ceasefire and a phased process to integrate military and administrative structures between the two sides.
