Aleppo, Feb. 27 (SANA) Syrian security forces have arrested a man accused of belonging to the “ISIS” terrorist organization after a surveillance operation in the northern city of Jarablus.
The Ministry of Interior said that the detainee, identified as Jassem Ibrahim al-Ahmad, allegedly confessed to planting a bomb that killed a man in 2022 and to taking part in another attack targeting a Military Police official. He also admitted to killing a married couple in al-Haymar town, claiming they practiced witchcraft.
The Ministry added that the detainee has been referred to the competent judiciary to take the necessary legal measures against him.
