Damascus, Feb. 20 (SANA) Syrian and Turkish security officials met in Damascus on Friday to explore expanding cooperation on training programs for security forces, Syria’s Interior Ministry said.
Director of Training and Qualification at the Syrian Ministry of Interior, Hussein Salman, hosted a Turkish delegation led by Maj. Gen. Gökhan Demirtola. The two sides reviewed existing training efforts and considered ways to exchange expertise and prepare new trainers.

The ministry said the meeting is part of a broader effort to modernise Syria’s security training system and build stronger institutional ties with Turkey.
