Minister Raed al-Saleh

Damascus, Feb. 3 (SANA) The Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management on Tuesday launched a press conference in Damascus to announce the opening of the Syria International Security and Safety Exhibition (FORTIX 2026), hosted at Dama Rose Hotel.

Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh said at the opening ceremony that protecting people remains the country’s greatest priority, stressing that human life is the cornerstone of every reconstruction and development effort.

“People and their protection are the real wealth and the foundation of all rebuilding and development, particularly in this phase of national recovery,” al-Saleh stated.

He added that the exhibition sends a clear message that Syria is moving confidently toward a new stage centered on safeguarding lives, strengthening safety systems, and consolidating security as a prerequisite for sustainable growth.

FORTIX 2026 aims to create a professional environment where decision-makers, global companies, government agencies, and industry experts gather to explore the latest innovations shaping the future of security and the protection of people and infrastructure.
