London, Jan. 30 (SANA) Britain welcomed on Friday the agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), describing it as an important step toward Syria’s unity and stability.
“The United Kingdom welcomes this agreement and reaffirms its continued work with partners to support Syria, including the provision of life-saving assistance.” UK Minister of State for Middle East Affairs, Hamish Faulkner, said on platform X.
Earlier today, the Syrian government announced that it had reached an agreement with the SDF to implement a ceasefire as part of a comprehensive accord. The deal includes a phased integration of military and administrative structures between the two sides, the deployment of security forces into the centers of Hasakah and Qamishli, and the transfer of all civil and governmental institutions, crossings, and border points to state authority.
