Over 160,000 passengers through Damascus International Airport in October

Damascus International Airport recorded more than 160,000 passengers in October 2025, according to figures released by the Civil Aviation Authority, which reported a total of 828 flights during the month, including 84,965 departures and 77,076 arrivals.

In a statement published on its official Telegram channel, the authority said the airport handled 828 flights during the month – 801 passenger, 20 diplomatic, and 7 charter flights.
It added that 15 airlines currently operate at the airport, while 4,964 visas were issued on arrival during the same period.

According to the authority, the figures highlight efforts to revitalize Syria’s air transport sector and expand the airport’s services as part of a national plan to boost connectivity and operational capacity.

The airport, located south of the capital, has seen a gradual recovery in flight activity following maintenance and rehabilitation projects aimed at improving efficiency and passenger services.
