Washington, SANA – White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt emphasized that US President Donald Trump supports Syria’s path to prosperity and peace.
In a press briefing published by the White House website on the X platform, Leavitt stated that President Trump would like to see prosperity and stability in Syria, noting that he gave an opportunity to Syria to achieve stability by lifting sanctions.
Leavitt also said that Washington is closely monitoring developments in Sweida in southern Syria, saying: “We could de-escalate the situation in Sweida, our efforts continue in this framework”.
