Daraa Governor: 200 evacuated Bedouin families From Sweida arrive in Daraa

Daraa Governor: 200 evacuated Bedouin families From Sweida arrive in Daraa

Daraa, SANA- Daraa Governor Anwar Taha al-Zoubi announced Monday that some 200 Bedouin families from Sweida were received in Daraa Shelters after being evacuated.

“The families, which include more than 1,000 people, arrived to Daraa on 13 buses sent by government last night and were distributed to new equipped shelter centers” Al-Zoubi told SANA.

He added, “3,250 families have arrived earlier and have been distributed to shelters” noting that two or three families from Sweida people who came also fleeing the threat that put their lives at risk.

The governor noted that about 800 families have been hosted by other families in Daraa Governorate, reflecting the strong bonds that unite the two governorates and their people.

Al-Zoubi pointed out that the Red Crescent and Civil Defense began Monday counting the displaced.
