Syrian-Bahraini talks to enhance readiness and confront joint disasters

Manama, SANA – Deputy Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Dr. Ahmed Qazziz, and his accompanying delegation held a meeting with the Bahraini Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Civil Defense Council, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, during which they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the fields of crisis and emergency response and civil protection.

The meeting took place in the Bahraini capital, Manama, and was attended by Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, the Public Security Chief and Chairman of the National Committee for Civil Emergency Management, where the two parties discussed opportunities to develop joint performance, exchange experiences, and coordinate efforts at the technical and field levels, which would contribute to raising the readiness of response teams and reducing the effects of disasters on communities.

During the official visit, the Syrian delegation was briefed on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience in the field of civil emergency management, stressing that this visit comes in the context of enhancing Arab integration and strengthening institutional relations between the competent authorities in the two countries to confront common challenges.
