Global Council for Tolerance and Peace offers condolences to victims of St. Elias Church bombing in Syria

Abu Dhabi – SANA The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace has condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted St. Elias Church in al-Dweilaa district of Damascus, resulting in casualties and injuries.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Council President H.E. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan stated: “Targeting places of worship and sacred sites is a cowardly act that contradicts all human and religious values and seeks to destabilize societies and spread division and hatred among their communities.”

The Council extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, the families of the victims, and the Syrian people in all their diversity, reaffirming its full solidarity with them and wishing the injured a swift recovery.

The Council also renewed its call to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for sacred sites, while urging joint efforts to reject violence and extremism and foster a culture of peace across all societies.
