Turkiye's Erdogan stresses the need to support Syria's unity to achieve its stability

Istanbul, SANA-Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stressed the importance of the support and cooperation of the entire Islamic world to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and national unity and achieve its lasting stability.

In his speech On Saturday at the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Istanbul with the participation of Syria, Erdoğan said, “we are pleased with the opening of new doors and chapters for the Syrian state, and its return to the organization’s membership, And the progress achieved in terms of its integration into the international community.

The Turkish president noted that Israel is attacking Syria, Lebanon, and other countries in the region with the aim of increasing chaos, warning that these attacks could lead to the explosion of the entire region.

Erdogan stressed the need for solidarity and cooperation of Islamic countries in order to confront the difficulties and crises in the region, indicating that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation includes 57 countries that possess great capabilities and energies, and if they unite, they will form a force to be reckoned with.
