Damascus, SANA-German envoy to Syria, Stefan Schneck, expressed his country’s support for the “progress made” in ongoing negotiations between the Syrian government and representatives of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
In a post on Platform X, Schneck emphasized that reaching a peaceful Syrian-led resolution on outstanding issues, in a spirit of consensus, is a vital step toward an inclusive and sustainable process for a better future for all Syrians. He added, “Germany continues to support this process.”
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Ziad Al-Ayyash, a member of the committee responsible for finalizing the agreement with the SDF, stated in a recent interview with SANA that both sides have reaffirmed their commitment to constructive dialogue and ongoing cooperation.
He underscored that these efforts serve Syria’s unity and sovereignty while fulfilling the Syrian people’s aspirations for security and stability.
