Damascus, SANA-The Syrian Arab Republic expressed its deep gratitude and profound appreciation to the State of Qatar and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the brotherly initiative of sending a humanitarian aid convoy to Syria, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among brothers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated in a statment: “This morning, a humanitarian aid convoy entered Syrian territory through the Nasib border crossing, consisting of 41 trucks loaded with food supplies, flour, and medicine, provided by State of Qatar and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The aid will be distributed to those affected by the recent tragic events in the city of Sweida and its countryside, as well as to displaced persons in shelter centers within Daraa Governorate.”
“We express our deep gratitude and profound appreciation to the State of Qatar and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for this brotherly initiative, which reflects the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among brothers, and we affirm the depth of Arab ties in confronting difficult humanitarian circumstances.” The ministry added.
The ministry clarified that this initiative comes within the framework of Arab support for the Syrian government’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of Syrian citizens as part of the humanitarian response in southern Syria.
