Madrid, SANA- Barcelona strengthened its lead in the Spanish La Liga by defeating its host, Leganés, 1-0 in a match held Saturday during the 31st round of the league.
The only goal of the match came in the 48th minute when Leganés defender Jorge Sáenz accidentally scored an own goal.
With this victory, Barcelona increased its points tally to 70, maintaining the top spot in the standings, 7 points ahead of Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Leganés remains in second-to-last place with 28 points.
