London, Sept. 13 (SANA) Brighton & Hove Albion secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Coventry City in the English Premier League on Sunday, with five different players scoring in a one-sided encounter.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men in the second half after a red card, allowing Brighton to add four more goals after taking a 1-0 lead into the interval.

Charalampos Kostoulas opened the scoring for Brighton in the 35th minute, giving his side the advantage at halftime.

Brighton doubled their lead six minutes after the restart through Malik Yalçın in the 51st minute. Two minutes later, Coventry’s Tjaio Awoniyi was shown a red card, leaving the home side with 10 players.

Taking advantage of their numerical superiority, Brighton continued to dominate and extended their lead in the 70th minute when Pascal Groß converted a penalty. Lewis Dunk added a fourth goal in the 83rd minute before Yasin Ayari completed the emphatic win in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

The comprehensive victory moved Brighton up to fourth place in the Premier League standings, while Coventry City remained at the bottom of the table in 20th position.
