Rome, Sept 08 (SANA) Inter Milan suffered a major setback on Monday ahead of their highly anticipated clash with Spanish side Real Madrid in the opening round of the UEFA Champions League, after it was confirmed that star Federico Dimarco will miss the match at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain.
Dimarco’s absence represents a significant technical loss for Inter coach Cristian Chivu, given the exceptional performances the player delivered recently and his winning of the Serie A Player of the Year award for the 2025-26 season.
Dimarco enjoyed a historic season, scoring seven goals and providing 18 assists to set a record for the most assists by a player in a single Serie A season.
The Italian left wing-back’s absence leaves Inter without one of its leading contributors ahead of the European clash with Real Madrid.
