Paris, Aug. 17 (SANA) Lens won the French Super Cup after a 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Sunday, despite playing most of the match with 10 men.
Florian Thauvin scored the only goal in the 32nd minute to give Lens the lead against the French league champions.
Lens were reduced to 10 men seven minutes later when Kylian Antonio was sent off following a strong challenge on a Paris Saint-Germain player.
The hosts held on to their narrow advantage to secure the trophy.
Paris Saint-Germain had started the new season by winning the UEFA Super Cup, beating English side Aston Villa 2-1 last Wednesday.
