Aleppo, 18 May (SANA) Al-Wahda defeated hosts Al-Shabiba 83-74 on Sunday in the opening game of Round Four of the Final 6 stage of the Syrian Men’s Basketball League.
The match, held at Al-Shabiba Hall in Aleppo, marked Al-Wahda’s fourth consecutive victory in the finals phase and lifted the Damascus-based side to 35 points, temporarily placing it at the top of the standings.
Al-Shabiba remained at the bottom of the six-team table with 28 points and is still searching for its first win in the finals stage.
Round Four continues on Monday with Homs Al-Fidaa facing Al-Ahli Aleppo at Ghazwan Abu Zaid Hall in Homs.
The round concludes on Tuesday when Al-Karama takes on Al-Nawaeir in the final fixture.
