Damascus, Jan.20 (SANA) The Syrian men’s national football team advanced two places to 84th in the latest monthly FIFA rankings, securing 11th place among Arab teams, according to figures published on FIFA’s official website.
At the Arab level, Morocco recorded a historic rise, climbing three places to rank first among Arab teams and eighth worldwide, its best-ever global position, FIFA said.
Algeria jumped six spots to 28th globally to place second among Arab teams, while Egypt advanced four places to reach 31st worldwide and third in the Arab rankings.
Globally, the top seven positions remained unchanged. Spain retained the No. 1 ranking, followed by Argentina in second place and France in third.
