Syrian boxer Haidar Warda captured the title at Germany’s prestigious Lorch Fight Night, held in Saarbrücken and organized by the German Professional Boxing Federation. The event drew top international fighters and a large crowd of Syrian and Arab expatriates.

Warda secured a hard-fought victory over Afghan opponent Kenan Zamovic, showcasing decades of experience and unwavering resilience. Following his triumph, he dedicated the win to the courageous mothers of Syria’s martyrs and detainees, and officially announced his retirement.
He pledged to focus on training young athletes and nurturing a new generation of Syrian boxers. This victory marks a historic milestone, as Warda becomes the first Syrian to claim the Lorch Fight Night title, capping off a remarkable 28-year career that proved Syrian athletes can excel on the international stage.
