Aleppo, May. 27 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa performed on Wednesday Eid al-Adha prayer at Abdallah bin Abbas Mosque in Aleppo, accompanied by a number of state officials and a crowd of Syrian poeple, led by Sheikh Mutie al-Batin.
In his Eid sermon, Sheikh al-Batin affirmed that optimism is a fundamental value in Islam, a driving force for work and construction, and a refusal to yield to circumstances.
“Syria possesses significant potential for recovery and stability thanks to the unity of its people, the return of its citizens to participate in reconstruction, the strengthening of community initiatives, and the consolidation of the values of coexistence and diversity,” Sheikh al-Batin said.
He added that true optimism is always linked to effort, work, and perseverance. No matter how dire the circumstances.
Sheikh Al-Batin stressed that Syria possesses many factors that inspire optimism, affirming that the Syrian people are capable of overcoming challenges and rebuilding their homeland.
He said that the return of young Syrians from abroad and displacement camps to participate in the reconstruction of the country and launch volunteer and development initiatives is a significant indicator of the spirit of belonging and hope among the people of Syria.
Imam al-Batin added that another source of optimism is the presence of a leadership that listens to advice and embraces all Syrians, regardless of their opinions and affiliations.
Following the Eid prayer, President Ahmad al-Sharaa received congratulations and blessings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha from the worshippers.
