Damascus, April 29 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa on Wednesday made a telephone call with Iraqi President Nizar Amedi, extending his congratulations on assuming office and wishing him success in fulfilling his responsibilities.
President al-Sharaa emphasized the importance of the fraternal relations between Syria and Iraq and the Syrian Arab Republic’s commitment to enhancing and developing these relations in various fields, in a way that serves the interests of both brotherly countries.
The two leaders also discussed ways to expand the horizons of joint cooperation and boost coordination and consultation on issues of common interest, in order to contribute to supporting security and stability in the region.
