UN Syria inquiry commission condemns Damascus café bombing, calls for accountability

Geneva, July 5 (SANA) The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic has condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a café in Damascus on July 2, calling for those responsible to be held accountable.

In a statement posted on X, the commission said the attack killed and injured civilians and stressed that attacks against civilians and civilian objects are strictly prohibited under international law.

Syrian Network for Human Rights condemns Damascus terrorist bombing

The commission expressed solidarity with the victims and their families, emphasizing the need to protect civilians and prevent similar attacks.

The bombing, which targeted a café near the Palace of Justice in Damascus, killed 10 civilians and injured 21 others. Syria said the attack would not deter efforts to protect citizens and strengthen security and stability.
