Abu Dhabi, June 13 (SANA) The United Arab Emirates has categorically denied reports circulated in international media alleging that funds were transferred from the country to Iran, including claims involving an alleged $3 billion transaction.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the allegations were false and unsupported by credible facts or verified information. The ministry stressed that no frozen Iranian assets had been released, transferred or moved through the UAE.

It also urged media outlets to rely on official sources and exercise caution when reporting on sensitive financial matters, warning against the circulation of unverified claims and misleading information.

The response came after several international media outlets reported on Friday that Abu Dhabi had allegedly facilitated the transfer of $3 billion in frozen Iranian funds to Tehran.
